位於: 北美洲的北面, 接壤美國邊境.
人口:3千4百萬人
官方語言: French and English(註由於中國人口眾多, 所以大城市如vancouver, toronto好多地方都有中文顯示, especially China Town,現在甚至911求助熱線也有中文服務).
貨幣: 加拿大元, 大概1加元對7.7 港紙.不過非常浮動, 曾經試過1對5(當年讀書),亦曾上過1對8, 仲貴過美金.

地區分佈: 大的叫做省(province),小的叫做城市(city). 亦有3個territories位於加拿大北部.
省:總共有10個省分別係:由西至東: British Columbia(英屬哥倫比亞), Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario(where toronto is situated). Quebec, New Brunswick(where i am living right, people of nowhere(>.<). Prince Edward Island, Nova Scotia and New Newfoundland and Labrador.
仲有3大territories(Yukon, NorthWest Territories(冬天的時候只有兩個鐘頭太陽,Crazy,其餘時間all dark), and Nunavut. 這個3個Territories 大多居住的都係原住民, 愛斯基摩人亦住o係o個度. 該3個地方由於位處加拿大超北面, 所以除非有特別需要, 否則唔會有人無端端去o個度. 我自己都唔相信我的一位機長朋友竟然o個度工作過5年.俾我,住一分鐘都想死.咁凍. btw,凍係指大概低至零下40-50度. 難以置信.

交通: 飛機, 火車, 巴士, 或自駕(左呔) 地鐵在加拿大有唔同叫法,亦不是所有城市都有, 只有大城市如vancouver, toronto, montreal有. 但各地方有不同叫法,例如toronto 叫subway, montreal 叫metro.但都指地鐵的意思.
入境:擁有香港特區護照可以免簽證入境逗留6個月, 如其他證件或需要visa, 詳情請向各大使館查詢. 如果想在加拿大工作,或讀書, 需要working visa/ study permit.
稅項: 加拿大係有sales tax,again各省都有不同. 因為唔係加拿大政府收, 正確黎講, 係加拿大省政府有份收. 所以唔係個個省一樣. 大概13-4 % of the price.
Time Zone: 西岸大概慢香港16小時, 東岸慢香港12小時, 當然加拿大係有冬,夏令時間. 如toronto現在就比香港慢12小時. 但到左冬天就會比香港慢13小時.

其實 Yukon, North West Territories and Nunavut 天然資源非常豐富 ( 天然氣 , 石油 , 鑽石礦 , 鈾礦 ).

冬天的時候 沒有白天 , 可是夏季沒有夜晚 . 風景如畫 .
華 人在 當地投資不少 .

[版主回覆04/16/2010 02:50:00]我近排煲緊history channel ge Ice pilot NWT. 真係大開眼界, Buffalo airways o個d先係真係機師, 飛Dc- 3,真係好勁. i really admire their attitude and passion as a pilot. i feel like i am just nothing. they are the greatest. i think living in new brunswick is just too much for me already.lol i admire you too coz i can understand the cold weather is not fun as all.

ReplyDelete我此刻正 在 Buffalo Airway 的機場 , Buffalo Narrows (CYVT). +3C Wind north 30 knots. I know some friends flew DC3 and float planes.
By the way, there are McDonalds in Yellow Knife, and minimum pay C$13 -14 /hour. (HK$100/hr)

Also one of my fellow pilot (Flight Instructor CL2) joined Baffulo Airways and another instructor CL1 flew with Flin Flon, Manitoba before they joined the West Jet and Air Canada.

Even though i got the job offer there, i dun think i am gonna stay there. you know usually u are required to sign a training bond with the company that might tie you up for couple years. i guess that may become my concern coz i cant live without people. .
